Houston-based Satya announced a 37-acre development at the southwest corner of Texas 36 and U.S. 59 that will bring new retail, restaurant and residential options to Rosenberg. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2022, with completion planned in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The property is near the upcoming Fort Bend County EpiCenter, a 195,000-square-foot multipurpose venue adjacent to the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.
The project will be anchored by the 312-unit Fairgrounds Apartments, a four-story complex with units ranging from 670 to 1,500 square feet. The apartments will occupy 15 acres and incorporate a beer-garden courtyard with picnic tables and barbecue pits, pool and clubhouse, golf simulator, fitness center and yoga studio, jogging trail, playground, dog park and Amazon delivery center.
The 22-acre retail component will include Starbucks, Harbor Freight, AutoZone, Arby’s and other restaurants and stores. Garcia + Associates Architect is the project architect.
Founded by Sunny Bathija in 1999, Satya's developments include Moran Ranch in Montgomery County, River Gate Center and River Pointe Center in Richmond, Canyon Lakes Center in Humble and Coles Crossing Retail in Cypress.
